Don't use a plugin.
Change the plugin.
There is no guarantee that another plugin will work.
Rewrite the JavaScript code.
It would probably take a good JavaScript programmer a few hours of testing to make it work seamlessly.
Write your own plugin.
It is not uncommon for a programmer to start a project with an existing plugin and adapt it to a customer's needs. The plugin author might do that project the cheapest. He's already intimately familiar with the code base.
