You can go two ways here. You can repalce the tags in archive.php and home.php with the content tag and cut each post off using the <!--more--> tag in the post editor or just change the content_limit function in home.php ( <?php the_content_limit(350, "Read more of this article", 'studiopress'); ?> ) with the excerpt tag and get a plugin that gives you greater control over the excerpt like Better Excerpt or Excerpt Reloaded.
