The whole Premium BP site has different blogs set up with every theme showcased on a separate blog. On some of those, we've chosen different options.
The nav bar with the BP functions is completely separate. You CAN have categories from your blog on the navbar, and remove or include the BP parts, just with a checkbox on the options page. I went in and changed the settings on this blog to show the categories instead: http://premiumbpthemes.com/lifestyle/ (This is actually a Genesis option) edit: another fine member has a live site here - http://sandal-woodsblog.com/ you can see he has a nav bar with categories in it.
