Any way to Make VoD disappear from Recent Articles?

Another issue on this same subject -

If you go to http://www.wordtown.com, you see that the "Video of the Day" is appearing on both the "Recent Articles" column and the "Video of the Day" column. Is there any way to make "Video of the Day" be excluded from the left column while otherwise keeping the Global nature of the "Recent Articles" (see rest of thread)?
