Default Media file size maximum limit

Is there a maximum file size or limit (per file) for media uploaded into Wordpress? This includes photos, videos, and audio files.

What theme are you using? Are you on self-hosted WordPress?

This is a pre-sales question. I would use Genesis theme framework, maybe with the Corporate theme.

Are limits based on the theme we choose?

no - I just was trying to ascertain what forum group you belonged in so I could make sure you had the forum permissions you needed

As far as the memory size, it will depend on the host you choose. Some will let you set the size quite high, others won't let you change it at all. If you're looking at a lot of *huge* files, I would suggest looking at your own server. Otherwise, I would contact your prospective host and explain what types of files you plan to load, and go with their suggestion.

WordPress itself doesn't impose limits that can't be tweaked.

Is it difficult to "tweak" the maximum allowed size?
Can you point me to the area in Wordpress that has this setting?

I'm making sure Wordpress can handle our needs. We have videos that are roughly 30MB, plus or minus.

I would suggest a google search for the phrase
wordpress maximum file size
That brings up a bunch of different results, and different ones mention how difficult it is to change the file size with different web hosts.
Again, WordPress itself doesn't impose the limitation - the web host does.
