To display only the title, remove this code form archive.php:

To display the title and an excerpt of the post (first 55 words), replace this:

<?php the_content(__('Read more'));?><div style="clear:both;"></div>

with this:

<?php the_excerpt(); ?><div style="clear:both;"></div>
