Default Widget

Does any one have a solution for this. I tried installing two different php widget plugins and then put the php code for FCG in the widget. I found that it loaded FCG but images would not load. I then reverted to the template I had made with FCG in the template just above the post area. Again the images would not load, until I removed the widget which was still on the page.

Any thoughts on being able to run FCG in a widget?

Thanks

Daniel

If I were you, I'd try to split the sidebar by registering another sidebar (top and bottom) and placing the FCG in the middle (unless you want FCG at the top, then ignore that) and placing the code in the sidebar itself. PHP does not like to be in widgets.

I had thought about that but I am using Sidebars http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sidebars/ plugin for creating multiple sidebars. I don't think it just creates a new file which I can put code straight into. My plan was to use it on some sidebars but not to have all the way through the site.

I would recommend hard coding the FCG path into the sidebars you want instead of using the plugin and widget to manage where the FCG shows up. In the end, I think you are doing more work than needed.

hmm.. Doesn't really solve my problem but we've decided to use it just within the main body of the page anyway. Still it would be great if there were a widget built for it that people can use.

I will consider this for a potential feature within a future release.
