what if I want to have to current homepage style as another page and blog style as the homepage?

Further, what's the differences between archive.php, page_blog.php, and page_archive.php? because I've seen other solutions to change homepage to blog style homepage by modifying the page_blog.php and renaming it to home.php. Thanks!
