Moving the widgetized areas can be done to thru tweaking the code. If that is beyond your coding knowledge, Please contact one of the StudioPress Approved Designers.

Thanks for your reply. On the surface, Wordpress seemed to me something easy to customize. Now I realize it represents heavy investment in php coding ... I will look at other solutions.
