Genesis has SEO tools built in. You will have some great tools already in the interface that will help with optimizing your post and pages.

Google XML Sitemap is always a good plugin to use. It really helps feed your content and structure to Google.

For images, I would recommend WP-Smu****. It will optimize your images when you upload and as long as you add your alt tags and titles, your images should be fine for SEO (good descriptions on images with also help!).
