Background w/o white box

Default Background w/o white box
I would like to create a new page template without the white box. Is there any way to get a copy of the background image without the boxes for the image and text?

The image is in /images/bg.gif - is that what you're looking for?

I have that image but would like it without the white box for a photo and the darker box for text. Since it's a gif I can't remove them.
