There's a help topic on Simple's site that addresses this but it didn't seem to work for me (I added their suggested code to the Genesis Simple Hooks locations that pertain to their location suggestions).

Here's the SP help topic:

I'm running Genesis 1.6 with the 'Church' child theme on WP 3.2.1. Any help in getting my forum to display is greatly appreciated!
The SimplePress forum is great (I've used it a couple of times), so I think you will get a more definitive and accurate answer from them rather than from me.

You don't have to use hooks to display the forum. You just need to create a blank page, eg "Forum", then assign this page in the SimplePress settings.
