No, it would remov eit. :)

For it to appear as a widget, if it wasn't in the theme as a widget, we'd then have to add the widget code like it is in other themes. They are usually in the theme folder, in a sub folder called widgets. (tho this one should be in genesis as all themes have it).

I did look back at your previous posts and didn't find anything that related.
