Any theme can be customized for any purpose. :) In this case, I would look more at the way you want to present the information. That's a better way to pick a theme than what colors or styles the theme has out of the box, since the look of the theme is easier to change than the functionality.

Do you need a widgetized home page? Responsiveness?
