Hi Gary,

Didn't mean to ruin your party! ;)

Would the custom permalinks plugin work with your solution? As I said in the original post, I'm not exactly sure what it's doing. I don't know if re-naming the years to remove the -2 would affect other permalinks or not. Basically, I don't know if it's "safe" to rename years.

Thanks for your thoughts, though. Maybe this thread will encourage a solution!
