What to edit in the Genesis post info section

1. So, should I just copy the code and place anywhere in the functions.php, or is there a specific line?

2. How do I do this : "You will probably have to adjust the CSS too"

3. If I need to remove the author as you suggested. Is it just to remove this line :

<span class="author">by <?php the_author_posts_link(); ?></span>

4. And finally, how do I change the blue colour of the "leave a comment" to be same like the date colour (grey)
