I just updated from 2.0 to 3.0 and now have the same problem.

Come on ... I shouldn't have to manually edit a file to remove the widgets.. the whole point of widgetized sidebars is to NOT have to edit files.

I'm really frustrated by some of the 2.0 to 3.0 upgrade stuff, including a lack of instructions indicating what in 3.0 might break from a 2.0 setup...

Shouldn't these widgets either not show at all or start as being assigned where you can unassign them from the sidebars?
