Yes, you are correct -- my permalink structure is %postname%. You are also correct about the url for the Yoast post where the directions are located. I used his tool -- which cna be found on that url to generate the html statement ^/category/([^/]+)$ http://www.laprogressive.com/$2
It worked when I added it to my .htaccess but it also rendered my archives useless. It doesn't just change posts it also changes pages. So I no longer have author pages when this html statement is implemented. That is what I am trying to address here in this thread. |
