To learn more about Genesis, you should read the Filter and Hook lists.
For PHP, I recommend the official PHP language reference. For WordPress, check out the Codex. However, instead of pouring over tutorials or documentation, I strongly recommend you do targeted searches on specific problems. Ex: "how to create PHP HTML form" That's the best way I've found to see how others are actually using the language. If you need, you can refer to the documentation for further information on how a particular function works. Learn how to solve specific problems and one day you will have a problem and suddenly realize you know how to solve it. If you get discouraged along the way and feel you aren't learning PHP, read this story: http://advancingguitar.blogspot.com/...cale-warm.html
