For those that want to use a theme "as-is", Genesis child themes are a great choice.

Those that want to make several changes but have no knowledge of css/php/html either have to bite the bullet and learn, or go for something with options you can click - such as Woothemes.

I also have a subscription with Woo but i find that it is more hassle to change their themes and get rid of all the stuff i don't need.

With Woo i also lose support and more importantly, i lose access to theme updates when i cancel my subscription (next month) - so for a long term strategy i recommend learning some code and sticking with Genesis!
