Question New StudioPress Customer Portal

Hello there...

Just wondering... when you say, "Support forums are fine, but...", does that mean they are going away as part of the new program/portal? While they do tend to contain a significant amount of bloat, they also have some useful code/information (especially if you have useful posts bookmarked) and do allow for some level of self-service. I hate to think of them being replaced with some sort of ticket system where every issue requires a ticket and only your own questions are available for review. Any insight in this area would be appreciated.

More details will be forthcoming as the new system approaches release.

So is there an ETA for these details? I mean, it seems like something that might well affect the way many in the community (particularly Pro and Pro Plus members) are currently doing business. That being the case, the sparsity of details is more unsettling than the announcement itself is exciting.

Don't get me wrong, I've always gotten a fair shake from Brian and associates throughout all the changes, but there have been a couple of disruptive periods where I wished I had been better prepared. I'm simply trying to exert due diligence on my own behalf.

There is no ETA. Nothing should affect how you do business and should only provide a better end solution. I really cannot say any more.

As I said before, more details will be coming. I can say what we have built is a very cool solution that will make so many things better and is something we have been working towards for over a year. So no we aren't following after Woo.

I'll be closing this thread to further discussion because we can't really add any more to it.
