Default what's redirecting www urls?

Hi team, my site redirects www urls to non www urls (which is great).

Is this something that Wordpress is doing or is Genesis framework doing?

Or neither?

Thanks

Thanks Andrea, so just to confirm, Genesis doesnt add the necessary redirects to .htaccess to ensure redirection of www urls to non-www urls (or vice versa)? If not, how does Genesis handle canonicalization?

No, it does not because it *cannot*.

By looking at your generated permalink.

Thanks Andrea. Is there some documentation that outlines exactly what SEO (and security) features Genesis implements along with how?

For example, you said that Genesis looks at the generated permalink - could you explain what it then does? A 301 redirect, or... ?

Also, Genesis can not update .htaccess because...?

Cheers

Because it is a theme and themes do not do that.

No redirects. It looks at the code and see the label "canonical".
