Paul is correct, there are lots of ways to manage ad locations, but you still have to set up the code for the ad slots.

I use OIOPublisher for my sites and most clients. It manages the whole ad process and can be used for your own ads (affiliate or adsense) mixed into advertisers who purchase from you.
