Default Best practice to copy site design onto new domain?

Spent several weeks earlier this year building a site on AgentPress 2.0, endlessly tweaking the design until I was satisfied. Glad to report it has been working really well ever since

About to launch a new website and wonder if I can simply copy across the existing site rather than starting from scratch? Obviously need to delete content on the copy and make various adjustments but would appreciate some direction on how to go about this, including some best practice so that I don't inadvertently mess up my SEO by allowing google to crawl duplicated content, etc.. Any dos/don'ts/advice will be much appreciated.

You can transfer a copy of the theme to the new installation. If you also want the DB you'll need to export/import that as well.

Thanks SoZo. Sorry to be a bit slow, but do you mean that my modified theme can be copied across without bringing any of the posts, images, etc (presume that's what you mean by DB)?

Yes, the theme is completely separate from the database.
