Have been reviewing the Catalyst framework for readers of our website and have been introduced to 2 products they have developed to work with the Genesis Framework and was wanting to get others opinion on these 2 products.
The first is the is the Genesis Extender Plugin, here is a link to their site for more info http://genesis.extenderplugin.com/ Just wanted to know if anyone else has used it and what they feel about it. Is it worth the money or not? The second item is the Dynamik Website Builder for Genesis. Here is the link to the features page of this product http://dynamiktheme.com/features/ Again just wanting opinions of those that have used it or have heard about it. I love the Genesis Framework and have tried all the others but really like the Genesis Framework over the others so I am always looking at other products/plugins that work with this great framework so let me know what you think about these products. Trying to decide if they are worth the cost or should I just stick with coding and stylesheet changes by hand |

Personally I avoid things like that because of the overhead. It seems pretty solid and is essentially porting catalyst functionality to the Genesis framework, so the additional code should be pretty well tested by others. If you try it out let us know how it went.

Nick,
Thanks, that was a concern too, the overhead, just like anytime you get too many plugins on a site. I might try just to review because the cost is not bad. If it works real well might use them as a shortcut on some small projects which might them a little more profitable? Either way if I do I will complete a review of them and if ok I will post a link to the review on the forum for others to read or if not allowed I will just post a summary of my thoughts on them. Anyone else have insight? |

Hey guys,
My name is Eric Hamm and I'm the developer of Catalyst, Dynamik for Genesis and Genesis Extender. I figured I'd pop in and share some useful info regarding this common question. But instead of repeating myself I'll just share a link to the page I've created to address this concern. Heavy On Features, Light On Your Server And by all means, if you have any other questions just let me know. I'm happy to help clarify. :) Eric |

Eric,
Thanks for the link and additional info. I already purchased the extender plugin and when I have time will play with and test it some. When the Dynamik child theme came out I also purchased that to but again have not had a lot of time to use but am looking forward to some time this winter to get to use and test them before I really try and use them on some client's projects. I will probably try them on one or two of my own sites I want to redesign to see how it goes. I appreciate your time in responding to my question.
