Default Featured Page Widget Show Page content

I think I have a little bug here.

I am using the Featured Page Widget in 2 sidebars.
on the Home Page sid bar it works correct... for Show Page content it only shows the part of the post till my <more> tag.

on my inside sidebar it's displaying all the content.

any ideas of the problem.

it's not the widget set up. We've moved them all around.
they both work on Home page, but not on inside page.

See here: About Laurie Widget area...

on Single pages (single posts as well) the <!--more--> tag doesn't actually stop teh content. This is intentional because you want to show the full content of the single post/page. You should use the content limit instead.

The content limit or "character limit" does not give me what a I want. I want it to stop at a particular place.

I have figured out why it works on one and not the other.
my front page is not using Geneis hooks...

It appears the Genesis default is to not use the more tag.
is there a way to turn that off? or turn it back on?

The WordPress default it to skip the more tag on single pages/posts. There isn't a way around this with this widget.
