Default length of words on pages - limited, why???

varycarol.com
I have a few menu titles that when clicked and drop down into the page/post I do not have all I have written included in the post/page. All are one page and not all the info is included.
How do I extend the length of wording???

Please deactivate all plugins first to see if any of those are interfering.

Something is broken on your site. Neither the theme or Wordpress limits the amount of text in a post.

Have you added any other code to your site - like in the header/footer scripts areas or using simple hooks or in the functions.php file?

Your site is taking a very long time to load as well. Have you talked to your web host?

Default Headers and more.

Yes...changes were made and now I wish to go back to the original design of the site.
How do I get back to the beginning?

You are GREAT! I am excited. After all this time I finally get it! I know what I want and how to get there....almost.

You can try removing the widgets from the home widget areas first and see if that makes an improvement. Then we know it was something in one of the widgets.

You can also go to the Genesis -> Settings page and reset everything there too.

I will try this first! I am not as familiar with the backend and the technical stuff.
Thanks

I was only able to deactivate 3 widgets. I can not delete anything else on the right side bar.
When I go to the Home Dashboard I still have 2 widgets.
Images are gone. on Home page. varyCarol.com
I will now go in and try to repost the pages and posts!

Well the home page loaded really fast this time so it was something in one of the widgets.

I am not able to change the length of the wording on the page/post under Illustration / Design?
I am in the same spot as before? Now what might you suggest?

That is an Archive page showing all posts in that category.

The settings is changed to show "excerpts". your full post is still there.

Here is one of your posts:
http://www.varycarol.com/2012/10/design-illustration-2/

Are you sure all plugins are off? I'm still getting a horrible load time on your site. Only half the page loads.

Archive page -. How do I make it not in Archive?

The settings is changed to show "excerpts". your full post is still there.
How do I change excerpts to "full Posting" like the one you found below?

http://www.varycarol.com/2012/10/design-illustration-2/
All plugins are NOW off! Is load time better?

Go to Genesis -> Settings -> Content Archives.

Check the box to show full posts.

It looks like you have some posts named the same as some categories. That might cause problems.

Yeah! Making some headway!
Changed Settings and deleted some posts/pages in the same categories.

Question: How to have my Logo come up with the home page as the number one featured image?

It depends on where you want it to show. Usually that is the header/logo area.

Please try and stick to one question or issue per thread. :) It really does help us help you better.

I do NOT wish to place the logo in the header area just right now!

I wish for my varyCarol Arts logo to come up 1st on the home page in the featured gallery with copy to the right.

How might I achieve that? No information in the see "our tutorials section" for common tasks!

I did take a look at the tutorial and found that I do not have a choice of "Featured" On my Genesis Home featured.

All I have offered is "All categories" Contact Us, Design Illustration, The Artist/Designer.

Same limited category listings on Home Featured as well.

Is that my problem, why I am unable to get things straightened out?

You have to make a category called "Featured" and mark the posts you want to feature with that category. :)

My Home page is not right at all. Images and copy are all over the place and what I wish is the simplicity of what the Theme looked like in the same WordPress presented. I am way off from that? How do I get back to a simple Home page?
