Editing Permalink on post since WP update

Hey,

Has anyone been experiencing problems with posts or editing the permalink in the post?

I don't think it is a theme problem, but who knows. I never had this issue before upgrading to 3.4.2

WP Version 3.4.2

I'm trying to remove the -2 at the end. Not sure why it keeps adding that, as there is no duplicate post. There was at one time, but I deleted those, and permanently removed them from the trash. I also tried clearing my browser cache. I remove the -2 and SAVE, but it comes back!

I haven't been able to replicate anything like this. The only time I've had -2 or similar added is because another post, page, category .... is using the slug. Check to make sure that nothing else is using that slug, even if it is in the trash but not permanently deleted. Post type doesn't matter.

Hey Nick,

I know I emptied the trash! But I went back and looked again, and it was indeed there again. I emptied it checking the boxes, and using bulk action to permantely delete as before, then tried again editing the -2 out... This time no -2. Strange! One time when I edited it I got no link and just this- ...0. I also went back again to be sure it didn't return. lol
