Hi,
I'm looking for a plugin or a bit of HTML code to allow users to accept the cookies to browse our website this is to comply with the EU Cookie Law. I can see plugins but I also saw on W3 Schools this: http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_cookies.asp but im not too sure where to place this on the site. Which one would be best to use and would this do the job of complying with the EU Law? Thanks John |

Hi,
That plugin is great! Can I just ask a quick question. I already have Google Analytics on the site should I fill it in via the Cookie Control instead? Thanks John. |

the latest version of the plugin doesn't work - it won't wipe the google analytics cookies - best to manually add the code as outlined here: http://www.civicuk.com/cookie-law/deployment
if you prefer a plugin version 1.4 here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/...ol/developers/ DOES work although there's no implied consent meaning you have to wait till people opt in before analytics starts working... you only need to add the analytics code in the cookie control settings - and remember to add the ccAddAnalytics() callbacks! |

You could of course not do anything as those cookie popups can scare people away!
Now i'm not openly suggesting you deliberately flout the law (only you can make that decision) but you may want to look at a video i posted on the UKWDA forum a few months back. Code:
