Default Easy Shopping Cart Solution

I am trying to figure out the easiest yet safest (probably an oxymoron) shopping cart solution. I won't have many products to start, but I'd rather go ahead and build my store now while I'm getting my site set up. I have read reviews and done research and researched myself into a total state of "I just don't know what to do".

Can someone give me the lowdown. Is it as simple as getting cart66, installing it, having a SSL and thats it... or is there more? Is cart66 the way to go - or jigoshop?

I get frustrated easily when things don't work properly. I HATE debugging and fixing things (this is why I'm now an accountant and not a programmer anymore - numbers always work). The thought of having to continually test my site makes my skin crawl - I just want a solution that always works (again - probably a stupid request).

Is there even a simpler solution? I see these WAHM sites that are all inclusive, but I want to use my genesis site and I already have hosting and whatnot. But I like the idea of someone else being responsible for my customers safety.

I just need it laid out nice and simple like... please?? and Thank You!

Cart 66, WooCommerce, and WP eCommerce are among the top WP commerce plugins right now. If you need to know more about how they work you may want to contact the developers to see if their plugin will work for what you need.

Well thats just it. I know that both cart66 and jigoshop fit my requirements. But from a safety aspect (pci compliance) as well as ease of install - which is the better pick. This isn't so much a which block fits because they all do, but rather which block is easiest to manipulate?

In my experience they both require setup. It is hard to say which one will be "easiest" because that is largely dependent on the type of work flow you would be most comfortable with. Ultimately this is a question best posed to the developers. Give the setup tutorials a read and see which one seems to make the best sense to you.

It isn't really like "x" is super easy compared to "y" It is more like "x" is easier in these ways but more complex in these other ways so they are both going to require a learning curve but because we all think/work differently you will find one to be a better option.

That said, I like WooCommerce for myself right now. That might change in the next generation of the various carts, I know WP eCommerce has an update I haven't tried and I think cart 66 does too, so my experience might be a bit dated.
