If you don't understand some basics about how domains and hosting and files work, I would caution you that you are going to have lots of problems down the line. This is just the beginning. I'd suggest you do some reading up on basics because otherwise you are going to be very frustrated and unhappy. You may be better suited to a self-hosted blog solution like wordpress.com and work up from there once you have a better understanding of WordPress, etc. :)
