I could never get permalinks migration to work well on IIS 6. There was always one more niggling problem coming up. Eventually I just switched my clients to unix hosting. I think a savvy person who has a responsive server administrator can get it working, but I just didn't have the patience.


According to the article Jon noted above this will work:

I would think the "PHP 5 running as FastCGI" would be the requirement to check for first.
