navbar issue

i have been modifying this theme today and had the navbar set how i wanted it to appear and all of a sudden the navbar.png i have set as the background pf the navbar is not showing up and i am getting no response from the css changes when i try to fix it.

All i did was change the default navbar.png to lighter colors and replaced it on my server. change the navhov.png too. It's like i and missing the bottom few pixels of the images.

Anythoughts?
