Home Page Editor has TOTALLY changed on installing wp 2.8!

I've automatically upgraded (and twice manually upgraded) my business pro blog site to wordpress 2.8, and I went to make some changes to the homepage.php - but all the code has gone and this is there in it's place:

Can anyone advise where to find the code that used to be there?!

(Would it work if I uploaded the backup home.php that I have kept on my computer??)
