Footer.php

I have been trying to change the footer so I can include links in a 3-column format on calycanto.com. While I have succeeded, the red bar that used to be behind the footer has disappeared. I have played around with footer.php and style.css and can't figure out how to retrieve it. I like the "hard stop" it creates at the bottom, emulating a magazine and would like this back. Any advice is appreciated.
