can't read previous posts, can't create new post

I am trying to research how to put an image behind the text area in Genesis Framework, not a general background image, but in just the text area of a page. But when I click on the different posts that may help, I keep getting the error message that I do not have the privilege of that page.

So two questions really, how do I get the support I want from this forum when I'm being blocked, and how do I get an image behind the text and widget areas of the page. Is this just css one background image over another, and placement? Or is there a better way?
