Temporarily disable notification of new posts?

Hi there -

I want to put up a couple of posts to make use of the Featured Content Gallery in a very specific way and don't want my subscribers to be notified of those new posts. I use Feedbuner.

Is it possible to temporarily suspend pinging when I publish, and make sure that those posts *never* ping or notify Feedburner or other services?
