Front page coding problem with categories 1

Hello all. I hope you can help -

PROBLEM 1 - On my front page - www.specialeventsworld.com i have added additional categories you see on the front page.
The problem happens when you add an article WITHOUT a thumbnail you see the messed up coding.
You see: 1) 2 active link titles AND 2) you see the share this or other plug in code.
** THIS ONLY happens on the additional categories I have added to show on the front page. This DOES NOT happen with the 2 default categories that came with the theme.

PROBLEM 2 - when you add a third article to one of the categories it completely pushes everything down and over. not sure why.
