Show latest posts from 2 categories on homepage

Hello everyone!
I've modified the Agent Theme to have two categories of property listings as required by my client. They are divided into sales and rents.

I was wondering if there is a way to show the latest posts from both categories since the agent theme options panel allows me to show a certain number of posts just for one of the two categories.

Your help is always very much appreciated!!!
