Homepage Thumbnails

Hello,

I am using the chrome theme and I seem to have trouble comming up with sometihng to post the thumbnails on the homepage. I am very new to this so any help would be appreciated. All I see are X's and I have tried to install plugins which don't seem to be working for me. Thanks for your time.
