Default Page breaks in long article

Hi,

I'm preparing a long article for our church website, which I'm in the process of re-building. I know that there is a small piece of code that you can insert at the point where you want the page to break, which will give you a simple numeric page count at the bottom of the page. But what I am looking for, is how I might insert the 'break' at the appropriate point in the page, and then end up with the page count at the bottom, something like the one that is indicated at the top/bottom of this forum.

Is there a particular plugin that will give me this, or something very much like it?

Alan
