Simple rotating gallery

I thought this would be a simple addition, but as so often happens it is not.

I have a couple of sites where I would like the client to be able upload pictures to a designated directory and these pictures would be added an existing, rotating gallery.

Obviously, there are a number of very nice widgets which can create, but all that I am finding require manual intervention.

Is anyone aware of a widget that might accomplish this?
