Need help with home page slider

Hello,
I purchased the child theme Maximum a few days ago, but don't see it on any of the tutorials.
I'm trying to get the home page slider to work but it's not displaying. All I get is static images of the various posts I have. The slider options aren't showing up. How do I get this to work?
