Default Featured Content Gallery in Allure

hi there,

http://www.absolutespa.com/wordpress/

Having trouble getting the Featured Content Gallery going in the Allure theme. Have successfully installed it in other fine StudioPress themes. But this is the first time with Allure and first time with this host.

Is there anything I can tell this host to change on his end to help? Security levels? Permissions? (I've done a fair bit of CHMOD stuff on it already).

I've carefully tried the usual suspects from the SP board and FCG board, as in the quote below.

If there are any StudioPress Geniuses out there, I can sub-contract the fix to you. Seems to me I saw somewhere that there are SP Geniuses for hire? Now where did I see that?

thanks for any leads and tips -
Andy

1) You could be using a plugin that conflicts with FCG - check them?
2) You may not be creating an "articleimg" custom field under your post editor, and referencing a file that you've uploaded to wordpress. Upload an image, copy the URL, and paste it to the right of the "articleimg" underneath where it says "Value". Oh - make sure the image is the right size!
3) You must have 2 or more images referenced in 2 or more posts for it to work.
4) Make sure your settings are correct under "Settings" then "Featured Content Gallery". For the site above i have (had - whenever you read this!) Under "categories" listed "Featured" as the category name and "3" as the number of items to display.
5) Under "Allure Theme Options" - at the top, I have "Featured" category as "Featured Posts", and "3" as the # of posts.
6) Make sure that when you write a post, you check the "Featured" category as a category for that post!
