Help with my charity site...footer & background

Hi everyone!

I offered to create a site for an orphanage in Ethiopia and so far I am thrilled with how it is turning out. I love this theme....

Forgive me if I seem clueless. ;) I am pretty new to this and am learning as I go. ;)

A couple of issues....

I am using a full background that is repeating (the green background) and I would like it to look "solid" if you will.

What size do I need to make it?

Also - I want to use the footer from Streamline. (I've copied the CSS and footer code...what else do I need to do to use widgets? (I would like to add some videos on the bottom and custom text).
