Default Adding Space When Using Text Widget

I'm trying to make my footer text look similar to the newyorktimes.com

my site is misinheritance.com

As you can see, I have no spaces between words and can't seem to find the code to enter that in. I found the code to skip a line, which is

</p>, anyone know how to create a space?
