WPMU, Stremaline 3.0 and Thumbnails

I am using

WPMU 2.7.1
Streamline 3.0

and i can not get the thumbnails to display i have followed the "How to Display Auto-Thumbnails On Your Homepage"
i have used the custom field "thumb" with the value set as

None of which work. Also i am sure that there is gd gallery installed b/c when i go into the folder where the files are the server has created two more sizes of the pictures. So i would like to know how to make the thumbs show up?
