Flash Video in Homepage Widget

Is there a way to add flash videos in one of the homepage widgets?

I've successfully added flash videos on my pages, but I can't seem to get it to work in the widget. I've even copied and pasted the exact code from the page, which would seem like it would work.

If there is a way, can you please explain it in simple terms... flash/html is not my strong suit. Thank you.
