Help with loading & Displaying images on home page

For my website, in the per section, I want to display the size image as same as the revolutiontheme.com/sports. Can anybody please help me with this? what if the clarity of the image is not so good?

Also it takes around 6-7 secs to load each page and there is nothing other then test data at this point. I dont know whats going to happen if I have more traffic...

Please help as I really want to use ur sports theme
