Cant' Fix Featured Gallery Theme

I still can't figure out featured-content-gallery. After uploading the code I am supposed to put somewhere on the home.php page seems to be already there but I don't know if it needs to be on there twice and in the right place wherever that is. I want it to appear like the original theme. I have added the custom fields to pictures in category and deactivated slimstat plug in (but not askimet). All to no avail.
